This time next week we will be in the final throes of this year's election campaign as voters go to polling stations across the country.
Since my last newsletter I have been out and about in Abbeydale, Matchborough, Crabbs Cross, Winyates, the Lenches, Abbots Morton, Hanbury, Inkberrow, Batchley, Brockhill, Greenlands, Woodrow and Winyates.
I have also spoken at an election hustings at Cookhill Village Hall, walked from St Stephen's Church to the mosque in Jinnah Road and then onto a Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Ridgeway for the Faiths Together Walk, taken part in a Singing for the Brain event at the Redditch Dementia Cafe, had a tour of the new development at Dorothy Terry House, visited Saint Augustine's Catholic High School for a Q&A with the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Sajid Javid, and spent time with Dementia sufferers at the VIP Day Centre at the Barn in Winyates.
This evening at 7pm I will be meeting residents at the White Lion in Astwood Bank. On Saturday I will be taking part in the Save Our Services Rally with Save The Alex, and on Monday I will be at the Headless Cross Community Orchard May Fayre, before taking part in the final husting of this campaign at The Bell Inn in Astwood Bank from 7pm on Tuesday.
Over the next seven days I will also be continuing to knock on doors, deliver leaflets and meet voters with my team throughout the constituency. Of course despite campaigning taking up most of my time I am still replying to emails and taking calls from voters about their concerns. If you would like to speak to me about anything please either send me an email at [email protected] or give me a call on 07760 393767. As ever you can also keep up to date with my whereabouts on Twitter and on Facebook.
Best wishes
Karen
"Working with Karen gave me an invaluable insight into the role and responsibilities of an MP. She gave me the opportunity to get involved in many different aspects of her job and has inspired my interest in politics."
Emily Gainsford
Inkberrow
"I have known Karen for many years, having campaigned with her when we stood in neighbouring constituencies in 1997. She has always been a passionate campaigner who is a true champion for the people she represents with uncontained gumption. It would be inconceivable for the people of Redditch County not to allow her to continue to work hard for them after this General Election."
Boris Johnson
Mayor of London
