Redditch has received another feel good boost today as The Organery in Matchborough has been listed by The Times as one of the top places to eat outdoors in the whole UK.
The article cites the grounds of the converted Elizabethan manor house as the site of a pop-up gin palace that’s ready and waiting to receive residents and visitors as soon as COVID restrictions allow. The expected re-opening date is 15th April.
Redditch Conservatives congratulates the Orangery for this achievement and for helping to put Redditch on the map.
Speaking about the news, Redditch Conservatives leader Matt Dormer said:
“The Orangery has organised themselves very well, and have been COVID-secure at all times, and this listing demonstrates a phenomenal achievement for the Orangery and our town. We should all be very proud of this recognition.”
He added:
“I have visited the Orangery a number of times, including during the pandemic when it was allowed to open, and I have been impressed at how well they have been fully compliant with all regulations, including post code checking on the door, mask wearing, distancing and noise control.”
