As many in business will know the most crucial time for a new enterprise is its first year.
We are delighted, then, to hear that Redditch has been identified as a place in England with one of the lowest “startup death rates”, meaning businesses started in Redditch generally lost longer than many other parts of the nation.
The second and first place winners are not far away either. Our neighbours and friends in Bromsgrove topped the table, followed by our slightly further away neighbours in Wyre Forest.
We are delighted to see the whole of North Worcestershire collectively top the table and claim all three spots.
However, complacent we are not and we note the gap between second and third place, which underlines even more why Redditch needs good Conservative representation to close that gap in the coming months and years.
