Your Conservative candidates for the local elections being held on Thursday 3rd May have all been selected by local residents to have the chance to represent wards within Redditch. There are 10 wards up for election this year, with 2 wards sitting it out owing to the make-up of the council and how it is elected. These are West Ward (people living in Webheath) and Matchborough. There are no elections in these two areas. Everywhere else, however, will undergo a vote.
8 of the 10 candidates selected for these elections have never run for the council before. This is great news, because it means the Conservative Party is finding fresh new people to come and be Councillors who each bring a great set of skills to the team, and would bring these skills to the benefit of the people of Redditch.
